Late summer
A wet second summer, twenty-one sheep, and a work bee on the 19th and 20th of September.
Pork and lamb are ready when the animals are ready, never on a date we can post months ahead. The fairest way to tell people is to tell everyone at once, so there's a list now.
We write when something's happened. The pigs go to the abattoir, the lambs are ready, the season turns hard enough to be worth describing. Some months there's nothing at all, and we'd rather send nothing than fill a schedule.
Pick what you want
Four separate lists. Tick what you want and the rest won't reach you. Later you can drop one and keep the others.
What we keep
Your address, the topics you picked, when you confirmed, and the IP address you confirmed from — that last one so we can show you asked. That's the record. No name.
Nothing in these emails tracks you — no invisible image that tells us you opened it, no links rewritten to route your click through a counter. We couldn't tell you who read the last one. We see how many were delivered and how many bounced, which is about the mail, not about you.
The list isn't shared, sold, rented or traded — not with anyone, for any reason. It sits in its own database — apart from the contact form, apart again from the membership system. Nobody who has written to us through this website has been added to it. The only way on is the form above and then the link in the email. Full detail on the privacy page.
Leaving
Every email unsubscribes in one click — no login, no questions. Drop a single topic and keep the rest, or go altogether. The preferences page works even without one of our emails to hand, and if you'd rather ask a person, write to us.
