The Farm

Where philosophy meets ground.

The Land

A quarter section of mixed pasture, hayfield, and forest about an hour north of Edmonton, backing onto crown land. Grassland birds, pollinators, native plants — the kind of ecological richness that only comes from land that hasn't been simplified. Everything downstream starts here.

Rotational grazing, no synthetic inputs. We're building soil organic matter year over year, and we measure our success by one question: is there more life here than when we started?

The Dairy

The morning starts with the cows.

We milk two cows daily with a third coming along. Brown Swiss, Jersey, and Holstein crosses — A2A2 protein, BB kappa-casein. Exceptional milk for drinking and cheese making. Pasture in the summer, hay in the winter — from our own fields and carefully sourced local producers. We're selective about what goes in — because you are what you eat.

From the milk: butter, cream, yogurt, and cheese — soft and hard. All equipment sanitized with hypochlorous acid, the same molecule your white blood cells produce. Generated from salt, water, and electricity. Breaks down to salt water. No residue.

Pastured Poultry & Livestock

We couldn't find clean chicken. So we raised our own.

Meat birds on pasture. No corn, no soy, no canola in the feed. We also raise laying hens, sheep, and pigs — all on pasture, all fed species-appropriate diets.

We're not perfect — the bar is high and we don't always hit it. But we're always working to get closer. The way an animal lives is not separate from the food it provides.
